Lorenzo Lamas praises Jane Wyman
Check out what Lorenzo has to say about Jane Wyman in this article from fansshare.com:
Actor Lorenzo Lamas has worked with some top names in the industry in his career but he says that he learnt most from working with the extremely talented Jane Wyman. Lorenzo says that Jane was the perfect role model, as she was in no way a diva and was always there to help him when needed.
Lamas explained, "She was an actress, not a diva. Always arrived on time, knew the dialogues, did not ask a huge caravan. So no other actor could ask for a huge caravan. The only thing of which she could not talk about was her marriage to Ronald Reagan."
He added, "Working with stars intimidated. What happens is that when you're young and a bit silly not you realize that you have the opportunity to work with legendary actors. There were times when I thought that at one point someone would appear on the set for me. 'We realize that you have no idea of acting, is over' That's what I did to keep the humility."
Lorenzo Lamas has a very busy couple of years coming up, with a number of movies due to be released over the course of the next year or so. Lorenzo has no fewer than five films in post-production right now, as well as a couple of television projects.

Season 3 Special
Some of you might know I did a special for each season that came out on DVD. Now it’s time for the third year. A terrific and classic season from 1983/1984. Enjoy the best scenes from Falcon Crest’s Season 3.

Mariska Hargitay Gets A Star
Mariska Hargitay (Carly Fixx from Falcon Crest’s seasons 7 & 8) was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Surrounded by loved ones, the "Law & Order" vet was overcome with emotion as she received her star, which is perfectly placed next to that of her mother, the late Jayne Mansfield. Among those who came out to celebrate Hargitay's milestone moment were her husband, Peter Hermann, their three children, August, Andrew, and Amaya, and her half-sister, Jayne Marie Mansfield.

Donations sought for Jane Wyman's Palm Springs star
Interesting news from mydesert.com:
The Palm Springs Walk of Stars is seeking $5,000 in donations needed for a star for Oscar-winning actress and former Coachella Valley resident Jane Wyman, it was announced Monday, September 16.
Half of the $10,000 has already been raised to pay for the star, according to walk president Bob Alexander.
Wyman, who died in Rancho Mirage in 2007 at age 90, won an Academy Award for best actress for “Johnny Belinda” in 1949. She appeared in almost 90 films, more than 200 episodes of soap opera “Falcon Crest” in the 1980s and more than 70 other television shows, including 49 installments of “Jane Wyman Presents The Fireside Theatre.” She was married to Ronald Reagan from 1940 to 1948.
Her career lasted 61 years, from an unaccredited appearance in the 1932 musical comedy “The Kid from Spain” to a 1993 episode of “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.” She moved to Palm Springs, then Rancho Mirage and was buried in Cathedral City, according to imdb.com.
Anyone interested in donating for Wyman’s star should call the Palm Springs Walk of Stars at (760) 416-5811.
Theme Swap: Falcon Crest meets North & South
It’s time for another theme swap and this time I’ve tried another series that also has a great opening theme (composed by Falcon Crest composer Bill Conti): North And South.
For this theme swap video I’ve used the design that was used in North & South’s season 2 and filled it with the actors from Falcon Crest’s season 4.
So, Enjoy!

The movie was written and directed by Abby’s daughter Kathleen Kinmont and won the “Best Director Short Film” award at the Treasure Cost International Film Festival. It was also accepted for the Orlando Film Festival and will be shown there in October.

I’m not quite sure if they’ll air the whole series as the trailer only speaks about the first season.

New Falcon Crest Article
2 months ago, the Hill Place Blog published a great article about season 8 and how Falcon Crest had changed after that particular producer’s change.
I remember how I felt when I watched the season 8 premiere for the first time and how disappointed I was (after the terrific season 7 finale I had expected an equal season 8 premiere). Things had changed on the show and one of my most loved characters got fired: Ana-Alicia. After this the show never was the same (for me) and I know, many of you feel the same way.
So, enjoy this well-written article. It’s worth reading it.
