On Sunday, Falcon Crest director Reza Badiyi was honored by members of the Iranian-American community for his 80th birthday and his 60th year in the entertainment industry at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles.
Badiyi has directed more than 430 hours of television, believed by many to be the most in the history of the medium.
Several cast and crew members were at the party: Ana-Alicia with husband Gary Benz, Earl & Jane Hamner, Margaret Ladd, Jill Jacobson, William R. Moses, Laura Lee, Martha Manor, Karen Davis, Karl Silvera & Paul Sirmons and several other crew members. Unfortunately, Susan Sullivan had to decline on a short notice and David Selby sent over an emotional video message for Reza.
For his part, Badiyi said he intends to continue occupying the director's chair. "I have news for you," he told the audience of well-wishers. "I'm not done yet. I want to work more."
